Doors
Structo interior doors are designed for separating rooms, by taking into account the practical requirements as well as those posed by the interior decoration style.
These are not just cheap interior doors for covering the doorways; rather, they are technically sophisticated high quality products. The door panels have a strong frame that is filled with special fibreboards. Compared to cardboard comb filling doors, these doors are considerably stronger and more soundproof. On veneer-covered doors, we use selected and carefully mirror-glued veneers. The result is flawless, veneer joints are hardly noticeable and the pattern forms a seamless whole. Veneer doors by default come with a veneer-covered frame of the same finishing. Moldings of the same veneer made of the same tree trunk can be provided with veneer doors to achieve an integrated whole.
Interior doors can be manufactured together with wall panelling. The result is an integrated solution of veneer made of the same tree trunk – the door and wall panels have the same hue and similar wood patterns. The edges of overlapping oak, ash or birch veneer doors are made of noble wood (the same type as the door), making them highly resistant to physical damage.
All doors and/or door frames are equipped with a groove-installed seal. Doors with a seal are handy – they close softly. Sound barrier doors have been tested in the VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland (Valtion Teknillinen Tutkimuskeskus) or in AcouTechLab (Laboratory of Acoustics in Tallinn University of Technology).
The doors are assembled and finished separately for each customer, taking into account their requirements and preferences. Besides standard solutions, special solutions are also available to satisfy the requirements of even the most demanding customers.
Fittings
Correctly chosen handles, locks, hinges and other small details give the final finishing touch to a door. High quality Abloy hinges are used for the doors, with zinc as the default finish. Traditional doors usually have 3 hinges, while 4 hinges are used for heavier doors. Concealed hinges can be used – these are special hinges concealed in the door sheet and the frame and not visible when the door is in closed position. Other non-standard hinge solutions can be provided on special request if technically possible.
Finishing
The door sheet and frame can be covered with natural or technical veneer, paint (RAL, Monicolor, Tikkurila colour cards) or laminate.
We are using quarter sliced veneer (radial cut) or flat cut otherwise said plain sliced veneer (tangential cut). Those veneer strips are then joined together to make spliced veneer faces (wide veneer sheets). Our standard method is book match. It’s possible to choose from over 40 different veneer species from Europe, Africa and America.
By default, Structo door panels and door panel edges are covered with the same finishing material except for laminated door panels. If the door panel is laminated, then the door panel edges are painted.
